I don’t know where i stand. I am a Developer that is what i am referred to when some testers are talking.

I used to test 1 year back. Then last year i was fixing bugs raised by me.

And this year i am working on something i had no idea about.. and these are testing time

People who get work like this say Enjoy … i just wish i could hold them by their white collar and tell them please come and join the fun with me. The project is something new to everyone… Everyone means even the managers.

Mail and communication happens in vague manners everyone is uncertain. Just that everybody knows the last result of it a product that will show video display stats of box and will create some report on reboot.

Ya that’s it … i working toward it with gr8 enthu but loosing it sometime. i hope somebody keep holding me up in this trying time.

This project everybody who is working is grade above me. I am given a responsibility which is equal to grade 6 and told to perform equivalent to them. till now i am doing it lets see what next

Passport a Pain in S

It all started when I thought it is good to have a passport made from my hometown and everything went wrong here are some wrong  steps I did:

1) I applied for a passport in jaipur staying in chennai so when police personal came to my home and got the news that I am working in chennai he wrote the same in application even forgetting that he took 150 bucks

2) My passport status became “please meet the RPO” which I didn’t knew the full form so it happened that nothing changed for a long time

3) I didn’t respond to it for a good 6 months then I got a chance to go out of india and all hell broke loose I didn’t know what to do so I tried old indian tareeka “jaan pehchaan”

4) know this guy send a police verification to chennai which happened to come through a different cycle and to my surprise my police verification happened in chennai I gave the guy 500 bucks in happiness

5) after 3 months also this police verification didn’t reach jaipur for which I roamed all around chennai all the possible office but it never reached jaipur

a) commissioner office

b) assistant commissioner office

c) passport office

6) finally I contact who knew the jaipur RPO and I was in 7th heaven I thought when I know the RPO passport office is in my pocket

BIG MISTAKE

it turned out the passport officer was no help at all and he said to me that transfer your application to chennai only way you are going to get a passport and you have to pay a penalty of rs 5000 which I paid

now I was in chennai and my passport application was to be transferred to chennai I said no issue

those guys transferred it to gujarat I don’t know why are they nuts or what but because I knew some guys in jaipur passport office they helped me to get it transferred to chennai

once that was done I had to wait for my application to be received at passport office in chennai I got a letter saying passport got transfer to chennai I went to chennai passport office and they told me to fill a fresh application and submit it and I did that with all the proofs then I waited for police verification then one fine day my online status changed to submit all the documents again which I did and good thing was after that police verification happened but they never changed the online status

then I went to passport office again to find out when will they issue me my passport they said they will send on 5th sept 2009 I am waiting…………..
